(🐍Update post) Revamping old projects, working on new ones
Good day! Apologies for the lack of updates since Cohost's read-only. I admit I've been miring myself in projects and stuff to do so I don't have to think about it. Turns out, doing that means I've been progressing on a lot of things so I thought I'd recap what I'm up to.
Build Tune Race fiction
Admittedly this is what I am most excited to share around so this goes at the top of the list.
One-and-a-half chapters have been drafted so far, and so far only one of my close friends has seen it; as the proofreader. I need to sit down and write more, and most importantly, get in a comfortable mood to sit down and write more.
I intend to publish what I've done so far on Sapkaer once I get three chapters down. I'll probably look into building a comment section on my website at around the same time.
Build Tune Race TTRPG
Work on the game is steadily progressing, although this is currently the phase of heavy work and research. Every day I have my nose in car catalogs and Japanese-language specifications sheets so I can turn as many real-world cars into playable cars for the game. As is the case with anything I'm obsessed about, there needs to be a little bit of authenticity and a whole lot to choose from. Currently working my way through Nissans.
Other projects
Throughout the past weekend, I've worked on revamping and simplifying one of my retired projects. The 18+ tabletop RPG, Wasteland Itinerant Escorts, now has a sequel/revamp of sorts that I am honestly proud of. It is called Escorts and Expressways, and the best way to explain it is "WIE but simpler, fewer crunchy mechanics, and more queer-friendly than ever." This represents my very best yet in terms of adult-oriented games.
I've been in an incredible flow state with ideas just coming one after the other, and I've done enough to actually complete a whole new TTRPG. I will probably write a blog post just for it when I'm ready to show it off and it gets its own section on Sapkaer. (Forewarning: This is obviously 18+. I won't go into more detail in this post.)
Other website news
Still transferring my good posts and Touhou Music Ramblings bit by bit. It's a lot of work... I also think I should have a section dedicated to my photo mode work in various games, especially Forza Horizon 4 and 5, as those games are where I spend the most time futzing with photos. Eventually. There are literal thousands of photos to sort through, and picking my favorites is going to take time.
MazeWorld
I admit I have completely not touched my main project since summer. As a friend helpfully pointed out, it seemed like I needed a break. I will be back to the Mazes soon, I just wanted to do other things too... and the Cohost situation did not help, I admit.
Touhou music collection
Still working my way through Amateras Records, although I've also recently hunted down an older Alstroemeria album called NITE VERSIONS. I may or may not want to write something about one of the tracks in this album.
Wrap-up
There are so many new Discord servers to keep an eye on, now! Chosties, you're all amazing. I still feel right at home with you all.
I will be a busy snake for quite some time even outside of work + I still need to find time for myself and relax with gaming and whatnot. But stuff is coming along and I get to share it with the coolest people online. It's helping dull the pain of losing Cohost.
